Welcome to the Texas Cowboy Art Studio, home of western artist Mike Capron. Located in the heart of Sheffield, Texas, the gallery is where stories of the West come to life through oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, and fine art prints.
Visitors are always welcome to stop by, browse the latest work, or sit down with Mike to talk about art, ranch life, or the stories behind his paintings. Every visit offers a chance to see authentic western artwork up close—and meet the artist who’s lived the life he paints.
The studio is both a working space and an open gallery, filled with works that celebrate the land, people, and humor of Texas cowboy culture.

If you’re traveling from out of town, it’s best to call ahead or email to confirm availability. Mike often spends time working on commissions, and he welcomes scheduled visits to ensure you have time to browse the collection or discuss a custom piece.
How to Order Artwork
You can purchase artwork directly from the gallery or by contacting the studio.
To place an order or ask about availability:

Include the title or description of the artwork you’re interested in.
All artwork ships free within the United States. Prints may take a brief processing period before shipment, as each one is prepared in-studio for quality assurance.
Commission Inquiries
If you’re interested in a custom commission, Mike welcomes inquiries for oil paintings and pen and ink drawings.
When reaching out, please include:

Once your idea is received, Mike will contact you to discuss options, share insights, and provide a quote based on size and scope. Commissions are accepted on a limited basis to ensure quality and focus on each project.

All orders and commissions include free U.S. shipping.

Payments for commissions are typically handled in two parts: deposit upon agreement and balance upon completion
Artwork is packed and shipped directly from the studio in Sheffield, with each piece carefully inspected before departure. Tracking details are provided for every shipment.
Prints are created to order and matched for quality and color to the original artwork. Please allow a short lead time before shipping to ensure each print meets Mike’s standards.
Visiting in Person
Visitors to the gallery can explore a wide range of artwork—original oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, and same-size prints available for purchase.
You can also see works in progress, sketches from the field, and examples of commissioned pieces. Many guests enjoy hearing the stories that inspired each painting—tales from ranches, trail drives, and the daily work that fuels Mike’s creativity.
